A View block that filters entries by a category "Oportunidades" is not updating when I add a new entry to that category.

That is really strange. Can you please send me admin access details and let me check whats going wrong with your setup.
As I understand - I have to assign a page to the "Oportunidades" or add a new page and I should not assign the "Oportunidades" term to that newly added page and your goal is that newly added page entry should not be displyed under section "Oportunidades" on your homepage - correct?

I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
