[Resolved] A feature request: repeatable field on a form – not a bug

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

I am surprised that Toolset does not have a function repeatable field on a form.

We've done that in 2003 with html and javascript, allowing a user to add infinite number of items of the same kind. The application as allowing hotels etc to keep on adding rooms.
Perhaps that is not possible on the WordPress platform? - we posted to different tables in the DB on the same form (if I remember well).

Hi,

There is no such a feature because of the inheritance nature of the repeatable groups. They are saved as a child custom post of a post type.

That is why for each repeatable group you need a separate form to create the child posts for the custom post type in question.

I do not think that is something possible with the normal WordPress setup and the nature of the repeatable groups, but I suggest that you ask for it as a feature request by filling out the form below:
