[Resolved] 404 error on post submission

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user is getting a 404 on their post submissions as well as they are getting auto-draft for the URL of their posts.

Solution:
This was being caused by the "Permalinks Customizer" plugin. Disabling this plugin resolved the issue for the user.

Submit a Post from the front end.

Post is submitted but I am getting a 404 error on the redirect. The URL contains "cred-auto-draft-" instead of the post title. The post title field is being filled out. The post shows up in the backend but trying to view the post results in the same 404 error.

Hi Ian,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Is the post being created with the Post title?

Could you send me a screenshot of your form edit screen on the backend?

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Ian,

The form checks out. Not seeing anything wrong with it.

Would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the site to perform further checks?

If you posts are being created correctly with the titles then you shouldn't be getting an auto draft url.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Ian,

It seems the autodraft links are being caused by this plugin here "Permalinks Customizer"

When I disabled this plugin and then submit a post on a form it works fine and the correct permalinks are added.

Thanks,
Shane
