Toolset Maps not displaying correct location on front-end but does on back-end
Started by: terryR

Problem: The map marker is displayed in the correct location on the backend of my site, but the map on the front-end of the site does not show a marker. Solution: Be sure to add the marker shortcode along with the map shortcode if using the classic editor. Both are required to display a map with a location marker. [wpv-map-render map_id="map-1"][/wpv-map-render] [wpv-map-marker map_id='map-1' marker_id='marker-[wpv-post-id]' marker_field='wpcf-street-address'][/wpv-map-marker] Relevant Documentation: |

Started by: terryR
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: I have created a Layout that I want to apply to a custom post type. I am translating posts with Polylang, and I would like to show translated posts with a different Layout. Solution: Instead of using different Layouts, use Polylang's string translation functions to translate specific content in the Layout. Relevant Documentation: |

Post Types not displaying on Front End with Jevelin Theme
Started by: terryR
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: The issue here is that the user's posts is not displaying on the frontend. They were getting the error Fatal error: Call to a member function get_gallery_attachment_ids() Solution: Unfortunately this was actually caused by the theme and a full reinstallation of the theme was required. In a case like this I would recommend that you enable the wordpress debugging in order to see what error is being displayed on the page. |

Use custom image field as background-image in CSS in a Loop
Started by: terryR
in: Types Community Support
Problem: I would like to use a custom field image as the background for each item in a loop, but for some reason the last loop image is applied to all loop items. Solution: We do not recommend creating style tags in the Loop Output: <style>...</style> Since CSS is parsed all together and not iteratively, only the last style tag will be respected. All the others will be overridden. This is how CSS works, it is not a bug. Instead of creating style tags in the loop, consider adding overriding styles to an individual element in the loop: <div style="background-image:url('[types field='athlete-background' size='full' url='true'][/types]')"> ... </div> The inline style attributes will not be overridden by the final style attribute. |
