Problem:
How Toolset form setting 'display the post' works.
Solution:
The 'display the post' setting will work as per the following example:
If the post type is called 'My Post' and the post title of the post created by the user using the form is 'Example', then on form submission, the user would be taken to this URL: https;//mydomain.com/my-post/example/
Problem:
Client is adding links to edit posts using the toolset-edit-post-link shortcode and wants to include the post ID of the post to be edited in the link text.
Problem: Radio input fields in Forms do not include the form-control CSS class anymore.
Solution: It's expected, though we realize it may cause some problems for existing sites that used this class for style selectors. From our lead developer:
"CRED used to have a setting about loading Bootstrap markup for forms, which added a form-control CSS class to some form elements. As we added fully native Bootstrap compatibility, that option was deprecated and removed. This also meant removing the extra class when it was turned on.
Consequently, some sites that had this option turned on will not output the CSS class in question. To resolve possible styling issues, the solution is to simply add a class=”form-control” attribute to the fields that used to get this class from CRED.
Unfortunately, this might require manual editing of some of the existing forms, but we honestly think this is the best path forward."
Problem:
Client is using the cred_save_data hook to dynamically generate a child post title based upon the title of the parent post, how should they retrieve the correct parent post ID?
Solution:
This changed with Types 3, which no longer stores the parent post ID on the child post.
You would get the parent post ID using the toolset_get_related_post function of the new API.
Problem:
When using the cred_notification_recipients hook to send a notification to the author of a parent post when a child post is created, what is the correct way to get the ID of the parent post?
