Problem:

How to add a new hidden field at the time of user registration?

I want to add status field in User Registration Form. Default value should be "New". Admin can change the status to "Active". At the time of changing the status want to Send E-Mail notification to the user.

Solution:

You can try these:
1) create a custom select field "status", with two options: "New" and "Active", setup the option "New" as default option

2) Create a Toolset form for creating user, use CSS codes to hide above field "status", so after user submit the form, it will save the field "status" as "New"

3) Create a Toolset form for editing user, admin can use it to change the field "status" to "Active", and send the E-Mail notification to the user
