[Resolved] Taxonomy term ID is set by the URL parameter not working as expected

The Toolset Community Forum is closed, for technical support questions, please head on to our Toolset Professional Support (for paid clients), with any pre-sale or admin question please contact us here.

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I have a View that is filtered by Taxonomy Term, where the term ID is set by a URL parameter. When I use the URL parameter, it does not seem to be working as expected.

Solution: Check the URL parameter and make sure it's using the ID, not the slug, of the term.

I have a view with Taxonomy term ID is set by the URL parameter "termsfilter" on the page hidden link

I expected to see Taxonomy terms of dessert when hidden link"dessert" is visited, instead i see "no items found"

Can you help me understand what i am missing here?

Hi, your filter is set up to filter by taxonomy term ID but you're passing the term slug into the URL parameter. The term ID is a numeric value, which you can determine by editing the term in wp-admin. Your URL should be updated to use the ID of the term "dessert" instead.
