I am trying to: Create a CRED form for a child post type with pre-selected parent and restricted access. I can't upgrade the CRED Plugin to 1.8 or above or the plugin breaks so i'm using 1.7.1. I saw several resolved forum entries featuring this issue but the resolution was not in them. They were always emailed to the recipients. Please help.

Could you please try the following?

I'm waiting for your reply.

Okay so I have my updates for WordPress on an automatic schedule as soon as its available but my host (Go daddy) doesn't have the update yet (I called). I could update the plugins but I have been down this road before where a new problem emerges with the CRED plugin breaking. Errors start occurring like "CodeMirror.overlayMode is not a function", the plugin itself doesn't allow any edits or for me to create new forms.

Views won't update because of a "Internal Server Error".

The CRED plugin is broken in the same way I mentioned before on the admin side. The Text area is un-clickable, all text that should be there when editing appears briefly and then disappears when the page loads, and the browser(Chrome) gives me the following errors:

Uncaught TypeError: textareaNext.CodeMirror.getTextArea is not a function(…)
codemirror.js?ver=2.5.0.7&nocache=1:2

This one appears every time you click the Text Area

Hi Michael,

At first, you have to update WordPress to the latest version because we usually launch the Toolset releases based on the latest WordPress for better compatibility.

So, please contact your host to update WordPress for you or you can do it yourself.

Please try the following:
- Disable all the pugins and activate the default theme (Twenty sixteen)
- Go to Dashboard > Updates and update WordPress
- Update the Toolset plugins manually by doing the following:
-- Go to this page: https://toolset.com/faq/how-to-install/
- Follow the "Manual Installation (if you don’t have Types plugin)" section instructions.

Thanks.
