I am trying to use a form to capture an address. The addresses will later be plotted on a map and the map used to make decisions. I want the user to be responsible for entering a valid address - at present they use a text field and can enter a variant of a road name and I spend a lot of time cleaning addresses.
Using a Google map when they enter the address is a big step forward, but my CRED form doesn't force the user to enter a valid street address. They could, for example, enter 69 Dodgyass Boulevard, Nowheretown and still be able to save the record.
I want to carry out some sort of validation of the address before the form is submitted. Does anyone have a clever idea? Thanks in advance ????
It would need some custom coding to make it happen. We have some recommended list of service providers here if you would like to take a look: https://toolset.com/consultant/
If you would like me to send it as feature request to our development team, please let me know and I will be happy to do this.
I think that this would be a very good feature to add to CRED. Think of it in the same way as a Select menu - we wouldn't want a user to write their own value having already chosen from the list we presented them. This is kind of the same thing 🙂
