I'm interested in building a page with Toolset that uses Ajax. There would be a search/filter feature and results would show up on the page via Ajax.
Is there a way to set this up that if a user leaves the page and comes back the results will be in the same state as when they left. In other words the results would not be reset. The user would manually have to hit a reset button to clear the results but just refreshing the page wouldn't clear them.
When you create a custom search view (in prior versions of Views this was called a parametric search view) the default behaviour is that the url bar is updated with the search and filter parameters as you change them (see screenshot of settings page).
That means if you navigate away from the page and then return to it, or if you share the complete link or if you bookmark the page, then the results on the page will correspond to the search terms and filter choices. Likewise, hitting refresh would simply reload the page with the same search and filter settings, you would actually need to reset the form to remove the settings.
