Toolset Forms allows you to create forms for editing the profile of the user that is currently logged in.

The user profile editing page

Instead of creating a template to display this form, we will insert it directly into a page that we create for this purpose.

  1. Go to the Toolset -> User Forms page and create a form for editing users.
  2. Edit the page where you want the form for editing the user profile to appear. Click the Toolset Forms button.
  3. In the dialog that appears, look under the Edit User Forms section and select the form you created.
  4. In the dialog that appears next, select The current logged in user option and click the Insert shortcode button.

A Forms shortcode is inserted into the editor. On the front-end, the editing form will be displayed directly on that page.

Using Layouts to create the “edit your profile” page

If you are using a Content Layout to design the page where the “edit your profile” form should appear, the steps are slightly different.

  1. Go to the Toolset -> User Forms page and create a form for editing users.
  2. Edit the page where “edit your profile” form should appear and click to edit the Content Layout.
  3. Insert a User Form cell and select to use an existing form. Select the form you created in the first step.
  4. Click to Save and Close this form and return to the layout button. Save your Content Layout.
