Problem: I would like to use the Frontpage Sections theme options for Islemag theme, but I cannot select a CPT. I can only select a Category.
Solution: Unfortunately the islemag theme is not flexible enough to allow you to filter by post type here. Instead, you could use Views to recreate these post lists.
Problem: I would like to change the Author of one of my CPT posts, but the Author field is not visible in the Quick Edit panel or the post editor screen.
Solution: Activate the Author field by editing the post type. Go to Toolset > Post Types and click your CPT to edit it. Find the Author field under the section "Sections to display when editing CPT," and activate it. If you cannot see this section, you may need to use the Screen Options tab at the top right corner of the admin screen to display it.

How to display parent post custom fields on child post
Solution:
You can display parent post custom fields on child posts using [types] shortcode.
For example:
[types field="xxxx" id="$yyyy"][/types]
Where:
xxxx is the field name of the parent you want to show, and yyyy is the slug-name of the parent. The “$” is required, as this represents a variable where the parent post name will be replaced by the post ID, internally.
Problem:
How can I add a taxonomy selector to a CRED form and a custom search for this Taxonomy in a Post View?
Solution:
In a View you can add a Custom Filter in the HTML section with the GUI Button "New Filter".
There you can choose Categories or other taxonomies and also choose to display it as Select or MultiSelect.
