Problem:
The is here was that the customer wanted to show all of her filter options on the frontend instead of only the ones that will return a result.

Solution:
What you can do is to control the filter settings so that all the values show up.

Under the "Custom Search Settings" select 'Let me choose individual settings manually' and from here you can set if you want the information to show up even if it wont return a post.
