Getting fields from a group of custom fields
Started by: XicoOfficial

Problem: Get all fields value of custom repeatable field group using PHP codes. Solution: The Toolset repeatable field group is based on post types, you can consider it as one-to-many relationship, each item of repeatable field group is a post, so you can use Types API function toolset_get_related_posts() to get all related posts. Then get the custom fields value of each related post with function types_render_field(). Relevant Documentation: |

Display an address field in a map without Views

Problem: I would like to display a Google Map showing an address field without using Views. Solution: The Maps plugin without Views will allow you to capture location information in a custom field. Then you could use the Google Maps Static Map API to display a static map image using that location data, but Views is required in order to display an interactive map. A static map is useful when you are showing several small thumbnail maps on the same page - static images will load faster than separate interactive maps. Be sure to enable the Static Maps API for your API key – this is a separate API that must be enabled in the Google API Console. <img src="https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?center=[types field='address-field-slug'][/types]&zoom=13&size=300x150&maptype=roadmap&markers=color:red%7C&key=YOURAPIKEY" /> Change the address-field-slug to match your address field. If your site isn’t https, change the protocol. You can also change the zoom and size parameters to fit your needs. Other customization can be added as well, you can review the full API documentation at the link below. Relevant Documentation: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/static-maps/ |

Search box on WordPress Dashboard is not working for a custom post type
Started by: XicoOfficial

Problem: I am trying to: do a search through the list of posts(events) inside the WordPress Dashboard, but the search function is not working. I expected to see: when I type a search term and hit the button "Search Events" I expect to get the list of Events that match those keywords. Instead, I got: I got the list of all the events, like if I wouldn't have tiped any keyboard. Solution: The problem you mentioned above is abnormal, in case it is a compatibility problem, please try this: Relevant Documentation: |
