Media attached to a Content Template used in multiple Views
Started by: Ben
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: If I add media from the Media Library to a Content Template, will that media work in multiple Views, or will I have to upload the media to each View? Solution: When you insert Media into a Content Template, the system generates an image tag with a hard-coded image URL. As long as that item exists on the server, the image will appear across multiple Views that use the same CT. |

Started by: Ben
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: Solution: You would create a View, then add a Query filter by whatever data you want to query, and choose "XY set by this URL parameter:". Then you would insert this View to any page and link to it passing the URL parameter. This is also what is used by default when you create front end searches and paginations. |

Not able to use existing media from Library within a View
Started by: Ben
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: I don't seem to be able to add existing media from within my Media Library to a View. Solution: It is designed to "limit what appears on the Media dialog to elements attached to the current object being edited", there isn't plan to change it in view, but it will be changed in Views content template.
