Editing Content Templates with Divi (and Gutenberg deactivated) throws JS error and Fatal PHP errors

Resolved

Reported for: Toolset Views 2.7.1

Resolved in: Views 2.7.2

Topic Tags: Views plugin

Symptoms

When you edit a Content Template with the Divi Builder, and have Gutenberg editor disabled (either with a plugin or code), there are JavaScript and fatal PHP errors thrown.

If you use only Views you see only the JavaScript errors. And if you also use Types, you see the PHP fatal errors as well.

Additionally, if you use Types, clicking the new Switch To The New Divi Builder button will lead to the so-called “White Page of Death”. In case you use only Views, you can click the button but you cannot switch back to the classic editor later.

Workaround

There is currently no solution for this issue.

      • Notifications would be a great addition (idea) for support threads. Maybe with a button of “Me too” where an user clicks and gets notified on their email once a new post or the solution comes up

  • This issue is resolved with the Views 2.7.2 update, where editing Toolset Content Templates using Divi has been restored.
