Custom Select Search Fields in Toolset Layouts Archives stay empty

Symptoms

When you create an Archive using a Toolset Layouts Archive Cell and insert Custom Searches as select Fields, those custom fields will not show any search options on the archive page’s front-end.

This issue happens only when you create the Archive using the following workflow:

1. Create a layout.
2. Insert a WordPress Archive Cell.
3. Choose to “Create a New Archive” (or choose an Archive created previously, using the above two steps).
4. Assign the layout to an archive.

Workaround

This problem will be fixed in the next version of Toolset Views. As a workaround, you can create a WordPress Archive using the following workflow:

1. Create an Archive View from the Toolset -> WordPress Archives page.
2. Edit your layout and insert the WordPress Archive cell.
3. Select the option to use an existing WordPress Archive and select the one you created in the first step.
4. Assign the Layout to the Archive

Also, this patch can be applied by unzipping it and uploading the file it contains, to replace the one with the same name, located in /embedded/inc/filters/ in your Toolset Views installation.
