Conditionally hidden fields in Toolset Forms are removed from the drag-and-drop editor if you edit the form

Resolved

Reported for: Toolset Forms 2.4

Resolved in: Forms 2.6.4

Symptoms

Toolset Forms allows you to conditionally show or hide contents. You can do this in both, the Expert Mode or the default drag-and-drop mode.

When you nest some content (no matter which type) into such conditionals using the drag-and-drop mode and save the form at least twice, the conditionally shown content is deleted from the form.

It appears as if the conditionally shown content is still there if you look at the form in the drag-and-drop mode but in fact, the contents are removed and won’t show on the front-end once you trigger the conditional.

Workaround

You can use the Expert Mode to save and edit forms, but the problem is you will not be able to switch back to drag-and-drop without losing the changes you made.

Hence it’s recommended to not edit your existing forms until this issue is solved.

Fixed in Forms 2.6.4

  • I have exactly this problem for two large forms I am developing. It means I cannot make any edits to the forms without having to start again from scratch. PLEASE try to get V2.6.4 released soon.
