Your payment method and details may change before the time of your yearly account renewal. This can result in a failed order. We will send you automatic emails for any failed and successful automatic renewals.

If you receive an email that your Toolset renewal did not go through, you should stop your current subscription and set up a new payment method.

Stopping your current subscription

Use the following steps to stop your current subscription:

1. Log into your Toolset account and click Order History.
2. Click the View button for the subscription you want to stop.
3. Click the Cancel renewals button.

Your current subscription and its payment method will now be canceled. You can proceed to set up a new subscription.

Setting up a new subscription

To set up a new subscription, click the Set up automatic renewal link in the message at the top of your Account page.

You are taken to a page for placing your order. Fill in the billing details, select your payment method and click to place your order.

And that’s it, you have successfully changed your payment method.

When you should change your payment method

Here are some typical cases when you should change your payment method:

  • Your current payment method is no longer valid. For example, your credit card expired since your last purchase.
  • You want to use another way to purchase. For example, you might want to switch from using a credit card to using your PayPal account.
  • Your current payment method does not have enough account balance.
