Types and Views Betas with Fixes and Improvements
We’ve just released betas for Types 1.4.0.2 and Views 1.3.1. These should iron out the remaining glitches in this major release cycle.
Views 1.3.1 – More convenient listing screens
Views 1.3.1 makes the Views listing screens more functional by allowing to display all results without pagination and sorting either by name or by date.
If your site includes many Views, you will also see a ‘show all’ link in the pagination control, allowing to display all results in one page.
Besides this, the entire listing page has been polished. It feels lighter now, runs faster and includes just the elements that make sense in each mode.
Other notable changes in Views 1.3.1:
- An ‘Update All‘ button for Views and WordPress Archives
- Fixed a bug with Content Template assignment, related to content that’s created before Views was activated
- Fix for Views AJAX pagination with translatable CPT slugs via WPML
- Added WPML translation for Views in widgets
- Several fixes in Views filters
Types 1.4.0.2 Bug Fixes
Types 1.4.0.2 adds back support for the previous HTML output for fields. It’s not by default and to activate it, you need to specify the output=”html” attribute.
Other notable changes are:
- Fix for child posts and WPML
- Fix for corrupted conditional data
- Fix for saving child fields settings
Download
We want to make sure that you are happy with the new listing pages and with everything between Types, Views and WPML. If your site is suffering because any of the problems fixed here, you can feel free to install these versions. They are running on production sites and all fixes are confirmed.
We want to complete QA before we release it for everyone, but these versions should be fine if you have any problem that needs a quick solution.
Since these are betas, there is no automated upgrade. To download, log in to your account and click on Downloads. Scroll to the bottom to see these beta versions.
Thank you! I’ve put off upgrading my production site just to wait for a better fix. I havn’t tried this out, but at least i’m the first to comment. haha.. 🙂
So far we’ve tested, it’s a huge relief that everything is working on our production server. One staff just exclaimed that the date filter finally works!
Thanks for all the effort!!
By the way, radio button format still suck in CRED. any plans to make it more compliant for bootstrap?
Hey team,
Why don’t you want to increase the size of the listing table from the fixed max-width: 900px to the better and more WordPressy width: 100%? Please guys; it’s annoying.
The nagging “Done setting up this View?” help box at the bottom of every View still refuses to disappear… permanently.
Any news on the new Types admin GUI? Aren’t we close to see something yet?
Thanks – I have not downloaded these yet but will probably run a few tests soon. How long will these be in BETA as I do not fancy running a test for a few days only to have a stable release come out in a week before I even report anything?
From the blog post, it sounds like we spoke, and you listened 🙂
The fixes already provided here – https://toolset.com/2013/08/views-1-3-a-week-later/ hopefully have been reviewed and will be part of the final release. Please, no more fixed px values!
