As a beginner working on my own I can’t praise Toolset enough, it is allowed me to create a site that works how I envisaged it and improve massively upon the one it replaces in both functionality, ease of use for visitors and time/effort required to maintain it.
Toolset has managed to combine a very powerful package of plugins with ease of use for people of all abilities – the documentation is clear and well written, tech support is very helpful and quick to resolve issues and the option to create a demo/training site and test Toolset before purchasing is a bonus.
The actual components all work really well together and between them cover the creation and displaying of new post types/fields, the ability to add and edit content plus users on the front end, build custom archives, content lists, and searches and finally a way to design the output of all of this and control access to it.
New features and improvements are always being added, sometimes little tweaks to existing functionally and others real game changers – either way you get the impression the developers are always looking for ways to improve and make the package even better than it already is.
I’ve probably not even scratched the surface of what Toolset can do but have no doubt that professional web developers could create some truly stunning sites – personally I’m really happy with what a total beginner can achieve and that’s the beauty of Toolset, it really can do it all in one easy to use package.
