Layouts were used to drive the layout of the whole site, and Types to create three custom post types:

  • Site posts - That go in the footer - for things like Terms and Conditions etc.
  • Testimonials that appear on the home page in a slider created with Views.
  • Services - three of which are picked at random to appear on the home page.

Then Views were used to create bespoke look and feel to the archive pages for the site.
