Toolset notifications convert Site URL to a clickable link with static homepage as label

Symptoms

There is an issue where Toolset notifications convert a Site URL to a clickable link.

It can, for example, happen in the following scenario:

• You have a form created using Toolset Forms.
• You added a notification to the form and added the Site URL field/shortcode to the notification.
• On the Settings → Reading admin page, you set a static page for the homepage.

When a notification is triggered, the body of the email will convert the simple URL to a full stack HTML clickable link with the static homepage as a label.

Workaround

You can use the following shortcode to display only the URL:

https://toolset.com/

The Toolset development team is aware of the issue, but due to how formatting is applied to notifications (using the native WordPress standard formatting in a custom Toolset method) we can’t change this behaviour.

It is the default WordPress formatting, which takes links in a single line or alone in a paragraph, and turns them into “embeds”.
