The View block becomes corrupted in servers with PHP installations using the libxml library in versions prior to 2.7.7

Symptoms

In servers with PHP installation using the libxml library in versions prior to 2.7.7, it seems that the View block fails to properly generate the structure of its inner blocks due to some technical limitations of a method used during this process, leading to the corruption of the block itself.

One of the symptoms of this issue is that, as well as some difficulties using the View block editor in the back end, the View will not output anything on the front end.

Workaround

Fixed in Views 3.3 (Blocks 1.3)
