Quotes in the extra CSS or JS content will get backslashed

Resolved

Reported for: Toolset Forms 2.0.2

Resolved in: 2.1

Symptoms

Quotes in the extra CSS or JS editors on a form will get backslashed when saved, which means that they will probably break the markup in the frontend. This affects especially jQuery selectors in javascript, and font definitions in CSS.

Workaround

This issue will be solved in our next release for Toolset Forms. Until that happens, this patch can be used by unzipping the package, and uploading the file it contains, replacing the one with the same name, in /library/toolset/cred/classes/.

This patch can be used against Forms 2.0.2 and 2.0.2.1.

  • it does not work – at least not with the latest Forms version. It is even worse. The backend shows the code properly but in the source the code is still broken.

I’ve double-checked on my site for this and not experiencing the same. Have you perhaps recently upgraded to Forms 2.0.2.2 and not re-applied the patch?
