The form editor includes a toggle where you can collapse the main Form Editor section.
If you collapse this section and make changes elsewhere in the form (e.g. in settings or notifications), when you save the form the content in the Form Editor section is reset to the default. (The same as when you first create a form, or if you switch to Expert mode and back, though in that case a warning is given.)
