Resolved
Many Elementor modules offer dynamic sources for the content, which includes an integration to offer Toolset custom fields as the source.
Currently this is not working correctly, when trying to set a Toolset field as a source, the option where the field key is specified is missing, and so it is not possible to complete the set up.
This integration is created and maintained by Elementor (we maintain the View module). Please contact Elementor support about the problem (the more people report it, the quicker it is likely to be fixed).
In the meantime, the only workaround would be to use generic custom fields as the source (which will work well where the raw values are simple text), in which case the key should include the ‘wpcf-‘ prefix used by Types custom fields.
Alternatively, Elementor suggest downgrading to version 3.1.0 (the issue was introduced in 3.1.1) until the issue is fixed.
I confirm the bug is still happening, glad I found this post as downgrading fixed the problem, awaiting for an update on this the next release.
Cheers
we also have this issue
Yeah this isn’t great. Just stumbled upon this issue.
We’ve had news from Elementor that they have resolved the issue in the develop version, and the fix should be available in a plugin update due in the last week of May or thereabouts.
Hi,
Any news on this? I have Elementor 3.2.5 and Elementor Pro 3.3.1 with the latest versions of all Toolset plugins and I can confirm the issue is still there.
As this feature is maintained by Elementor themselves, I suggest you contact Elementor support to get the most accurate answer, according to the information we received from Elementor development the fix for this should have been released by now, but I don’t know what version numbers would apply.
