Reported for: Toolset Forms 2.5.6
Toolset Types allows you to create post relationships and add custom fields to intermediary posts in such relationships.
With Toolset Forms, you can then connect posts in such relationships and by doing so also edit the fields of intermediary posts belonging to this relationship.
If there are custom Checkboxes fields belonging to these intermediary posts, they won’t keep their checked state when edited using these Toolset Forms. Instead, they will always will be saved as unchecked.
There is no workaround for this.
Toolset Relationship Forms do not support any API at the moment, so there is also no way to hook in and save the checked option manually.
That’s a shame, I was just about to setup a relationship with checkbox fields 🙁
Dang it! I DO have relationships with checkbox fields. I finally found this article after spending many hours tearing out my hair wondering why my relationship form won’t save the checkbox field. At least now I know the reason why.
Ok worked on it some hours, after finding this message. Will it be fixed in the near future?
Hi just piping in and wondering if this is getting looked at? I created forms for users to edit some Relationship posts, but if they un-check a checkbox it does not get saved. Such a bummer that we will have to think of a different approach!
Sorry, I checked the internal ticket for this and there hasn’t been any movement. I’ve commented to point out that it is still an issue troubling clients.
