Contributors have no edit permission on others custom post types

Symptoms

A contributor with all permissions set in Access, for a given Custom Post Type (CPT), will not be able to edit others posts of this type.

Workaround

As a workaround, the following steps can be followed:

• set Posts managed by Access with default permissions (edit permissions for the contributor role are not required to be set; only default edit_own and delete own permissions must be set)
• create at least one post in CPT from a contributor user. Then, the contributor will have all permissions.
