I have created a view using Toolset Blocks interface.

On the sorting options, I have added a number of options. However, on the front end, when someone visits the site, it always start with the option of "Post Date" even though i've removed it.

If you sort by another options, eg Type, then the Post Date option disappears.

I believe this to be a bug. Can you confirm and offer a fix?

Here's a quick video (no sound) of the above explanation.

Thanks!

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Yes - it looks like a small usability issue/bug and I confirm that on first-page load the post date sorting option is available even though its not configured.

I'll escalate the issue to our next level support. Please hold on for further updates.

I got the news that this is actually a usability issue and we should not allow the user to delete the first option from soring controls as:
The first mandatory sorting option is synchronized with the current stored sorting settings. Any change that you do to it will be pushed to the Ordering section.

So, set your view's order from ordering section to one of your ordering fields other than post date and you will not see the post date option with sorting dropdown.
