I am trying to: do a theme check on the reference starter sites.

I visited this URL: https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-check/

I expected to see: all tests passed.

Instead, I got: lots of warning and errors.

I reset all my sandbox site with your site reset tool. I only activate the Theme Check and your Framework Installer plugins.

I select your woocommerce reference site and immediately do a Theme Check, and I got a veru nasty report about your start theme from the Theme Check plugin

This is somewhat disturbing your theme is not in compliance with WordPress best practice.

Is this very easily fixed by your company. It seems rather trivial.

Please advice.

I have heard back and our Starter Theme development team will take a closer look and fix all the problems that we can, but please take this into consideration that Toolset Starter is a special kind of theme and it will never meet all requirements from this test. Since this test follows standards that were written for different kinds of themes.

As an example:
REQUIRED: This theme doesn’t seem to display tags. Modify it to display tags in appropriate locations.

Toolset Starter theme itself will never have tags in it, since it is only a blank canvas for Toolset Plugins which populate the theme with all necessary elements like post titles, tags, or anything you think is necessary in your theme.

Thank you for waiting on this. Our starter theme development team reported that in next Toolset version there will be some issues fixed, but a lot more of others will show up.

And this is not because something is broken there but because of Toolset specifics - this never was and probably never will be a theme that should fulfill all WP official repository theme standards and there is not much more we can do here.
