Tell us what you are trying to do?

I have created custom product fields and would like to insert filters at the top of my shop page to filter by these fields. Is this possible?

Is there any documentation that you are following?

no

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

You should try to follow the following course:

And here is the doc:

Yes, I am familiar with creating custom archives. Let me clarify my question: is it possible to create filters and include them in the DEFAULT product archive template (rather than creating a completely custom archive template)? Thanks!

To create a custom shop page - either you will have to create archive:
- https://toolset.com/course-lesson/building-a-custom-woocommerce-shop-page/

Or if you do not want to create archive, you will have to create a custom shop page and to that page you will have to add the view with custom search filters.
