Hi there,

I created an Elementor template for monthly archives of standard blog posts.

My idea was to put a view for posts in and let the template show the actual post of the chosen months. That means one Elementor Template for monthly archive pages uses the same view, which is showing results depending on the actual month.

Unfortunately I can't find a way to set up the view, that it shows the monthly results. How can I filter the monthly results for a view, or do i have to use a toolset wordpress archive for that. My result is always the standard posts:

What am I doing wrong? I used to have a solution,... but after updates of toolset and Elementor over the last few weeks, it seemed to change.

Any suggestions for me?

Jörg

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - following are few links that will help you to create the archive using Toolset => WordPress Archives:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/creating-wordpress-custom-post-archives/
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/getting-started-with-toolset/customize-post-archives/

Now, as you want to build the monthly archive, you can build it from Toolset => WordPress Archives

If you want a view to group your post by year and month, please check the following article:
=> https://toolset.com/2013/10/how-to-group-views-results-by-year-and-month/

Hi there again,...

As I described, I don't want to built an archive with toolset. As I mentioned, I created an Elementor template for monthly archives of standard blog posts, not CPT.

In this template I want to create a view showing the actual posts of in example the different months ( monthly archive).

What you are talking about is a different thing, I guess. You are talking about a toolset archive, ... which is a total different way to built sides, but not Elementor templates, I guess.

All the best

Jörg

Well - I talked about both Toolset Archive and if you want to group posts by month and year using view, you need to follow the following article which I shared with my previous reply as well:
=> https://toolset.com/2013/10/how-to-group-views-results-by-year-and-month/

This is the Doc that will help you to understand how you can create views with elementor:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/using-toolset-with-elementor-page-builder/build-custom-queries-to-list-posts-with-elementor-and-toolset/

Please check the following limitation and keep in mind when you design template using elementor:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/using-toolset-with-elementor-page-builder/create-templates-for-custom-post-types-with-elementor-and-toolset/#limitations-when-using-elementor-and-toolset-templates-together
