Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have a requirement that I need to deliver this site as a static site. This works in all aspects except that Views pagination always uses a query string and so requires a back end whereas WP would append a page/2/ for the second page which would work fine for a static site.
(1) Is there a way to use the WP style?
(2) Is there another way to achieve a non query string way like a hook so I can parse out a page/2/ type scenario. (E.g. /wpv_paged/2)

Is there any documentation that you are following?
Couldn't find anything.

What is the link to your site?
This page has a Next -> at the bottom.
WP version -> hidden link
Static version -> hidden link

Hello,

There are not both built-in features as you mentioned above, for normal post view, to use the pagination, the URL parameter "wpv_paged" is required.

You can add a feature request for it:
https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/

Our developers will evaluate it.

And in Views WordPress archive, you can setup WP style pagination with shortcodes, for example: [wpv-pager-archive-nav-links]
