I have tried to add a simple slider to my CPT of Artist.

On the single artist view I've inserted a view I created with this code: [wpv-view name="gallery-images-for-artists"]

The view is returning images:
1. Not the right images, returning all images uploaded to that field regardless of the post.
2. The images are not in the slider format shown in the block.
3. When previewing the block for Tom Riefe it shows the same 3 pictures over and over.

Basically, I am having lots of trouble adding a simple slider for an artist.

Hi there,

Would you please use the method below instead of the shortcode? This is a standard method that you can use with Toolset blocks:

Thanks.

Hmm. Sorry I watched that video, but it's hard to understand since I'm not creating a standing alone page. I need this to be part of a content templated that can be consumed by a view that is inserted into a single post type page.

I will need to see how you implemented the content template and view and how you inserted that to the page to be bale to see if I can identify the issue.

I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

Please give me the URLs of the Content template View and Page in uestion.

Hi there,

Thank you for the login information, as you use a legacy view and there is no way to mix and match the Block editor and legacy views, you need to use this method to create a gallery:

https://toolset.com/documentation/legacy-features/views-plugin/create-image-galleries-using-repeating-custom-fields/

If you want the newer method you will need to make sure you enable the block editor and use this method:

https://toolset.com/course-lesson/dynamic-galleries-and-sliders-for-templates-displaying-repeating-image-fields/

Thanks.

No more assistance needed on this. Toolset just didn't do what I wanted it to do, so I worked with the Theme.co team to use their native looper/consumer builder to provide what the client needed.
