I am building a new site and it will be reliant on the relationships between three custom post types.

I read this post some time ago, about development at Toolset on post relationships
https://toolset.com/2017/04/first-preview-of-many-to-many-relationship-in-toolset/
... and also this post about the migrator tool:
https://toolset.com/2017/05/post-relationship-project-update-migrating-current-relationships

The site I'm working on will hinge entirely on correct and robust relationships (many-to-many) between the three key post types, so I'm wondering whether still to set about it with additional 'join' post types, as I have done in the past. Or whether it is worth waiting for the new Toolset version and starting fresh with the new method.

If we are to run with the 'old' method, and additional 'join' post types then how confident can we be in the migrator tool managing the transition from the old method to the new?

Thank you - I'll really appreciate an update on this news...

Best wishes
Tim

Dear Tim,

As you can see , in the blog post :
https://toolset.com/2017/05/post-relationship-project-update-migrating-current-relationships/
We will provide a migration wizard, which moves the relationship information to the new schema.

So you can setup the "many-to-many" post type relationship with the old method, develop your website/project, wait for the migration tool, move from the old method to the new "many-to-many" post type relationships.

You can feedback if there is any problem/questions.
