I am trying to: Search using relevanssi for Repeatable group

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:lien caché

I expected to see: FAQ answers with text "environment"

Instead, I got:No results found

Hi Vimal,

Thank you for waiting.

1. I checked the FAQs post types and noticed that the sum of all FAQ entries in the repeating field groups is 46, just as shown in the view.

TEST FAQ 3
Features FAQ (support) 4
Usage FAQ (Support) 4
Pricing FAQ (support) 5
Start with Gemvision FAQ (support) 2
General LP FAQ 5
Setup & Start FAQ 8
Support page FAQ 9
Pricing page FAQ 6

2. Currently, Relevanssi indexing works with the regular custom fields but not with the ones added into a repeating field group.
( ref: https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/searching-texts-custom-fields-views-relevanssi/ )

Is there any specific reason, you're adding the actual questions and answers of the FAQs as repeating field entries?

To make it work naturally with the Relevanssi search, you can save the question and answer for each FAQ entry as a regular custom fields in the FAQs post type.

And for grouping the FAQ entries togather, you can either attach a custom taxonomy to the FAQs posts or create a new post type "FAQ Type" and link it to the FAQ items using a post-relationship.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further assistance around this.

regards,
Waqar

Hi waqar,

Site is finished and its live..
We can not change the field from repeating field to custom field.

Thanks

Hi Vimal,

Thank you for waiting, while I performed some further testing.

I stand corrected and I was able to make the Relevanssi search work with the text coming from the repeating field group's custom field, by following the steps from this guide:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/searching-texts-custom-fields-views-relevanssi/

On your website too, the only missing link was that the "faq" post type was selected in the Relevanssi settings ( WP Admin -> Settings -> Relevanssi -> Indexing ), but not the actual "single-faq" post type ( screenshot: lien caché ).
( note: the repeating fields are saved inside a dedicated post type of their own )

After checking that post type and re-indexing, the search seems to be working now.

I apologize for the confusion earlier and let me know how it goes.

regards,
Waqar

Yes, search is working
But why results count is wrong.
Instead of 50 it is showing 46.

When I search using word "what" it says no results found,

Hi Vimal,

>> Yes, search is working
>> But why results count is wrong.
>> Instead of 50 it is showing 46.

- As shared in point 1 of my earlier message ( ref: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/include-field-in-text-search-throughout-the-site-not-working-repeatable-group/#post-1235065 ), the count of total FAQ items, in all repeating field groups adds up to 46, which is what is showing.

Can you please let me know from where or how you're counting them to be 50? I'll be happy to investigate accordingly.

>> When I search using word "what" it says
>> no results found,

- If you'll go to WP Admin -> Settings -> Relevanssi -> Stopwords, you'll find that "what" is included among the stopwords, which is why it will not be used for indexing of search results.

You can read more about this option at:
