filter according to 2 categories - one default and the other by shortcode

hey,

I have a taxonomy ("gate") and a taxonomy "category".
In the archive for "gates" I want to display items with a cross between 2 categories:
1) the first category is permanent (will always be "further reading" category)
2) the second category's slug will be equal the the current "gate" archive slug.

I'm guessing I need to create a view and filter it according to categories (then insert it in the archive), but I'm not sure how to get the cross between these two categories, whereas one is permanent and the other changing according to the archive's slug.

any idea?

I would like to have more information about your requirement. When you say "cross between 2 categories:" what does it mean exactly.

Do you mean that you want to filter your archive with fix taxonomy term of "category" taxonomy and it should also display the posts of the current term of the archive?

nevermind minesh - got this to work by creating a new taxonomy for my "changing" category. thx!
