Hi, I've been using Toolset for a few years now on a number of projects. One issue I always come across is that almost every time a project needs a custom taxonomy I have to find a way to:
1. Enable a featured image for the taxonomy
2. Enable a wysiwyg editor for the taxonomy

I achieve this using plugins but it is a buggy bloated solution.

So why do cpt's have so many options but there are so few for custom taxonomies? If the functionality is already there for cpt's then surely it would not be a big step to enable it in custom taxonomies?

I hope this feature can be added in the near future 😉

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Actually Types follows WordPress standard APIs to create CPT and Taxonomies. The reason behind Types do not have Taxonomy image or WYSWYG field is that because WordPress do not have meta field API for taxonomies. I know this feature you requested before as well and its with our records but for now unfortunately we do not have any solution fore it. When WordPress enhance its scope for taxonomies we will think to add this feature.

I hope I answered your query.

Hi Minesh, thanks for getting back to me. Ok no worries, I still don't understand why you guys can't code this up when other people have got it working and are sharing their code.

So I'll just assume you have good reasons. Meantime I'll keep finding workarounds, thanks again
