Tell us what you are trying to do?
Trying to only show posts once, which works on other archive templates, but not the primary ones.
It's a new issue that was only detected in the past few days, no major changes or adjustments have been made, problem did not exist for over a year.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
Basic toolset

Thank you for getting in touch.

Were there any recent updates to your plugins/themes that you can recall ?
In a case like this when the plugins are not functioning as intended we recommended that you disable the non-toolset plugins.

What this means is that you will need to go through your list of plugins and disable each of your plugins one at a time while checking to see if the issue still remains.
