Allowing members to edit /my-profile/ page when the post is private

Problem:

I created a membership website and when I go to /my-profile/ page I can not edit the profile when it is in private mode.

Solution:

Use Toolset Access plugin to give proper access to private profiles. Check the docs below.

I have a directory set up that allows users to set their profile as private (as per the solution on https://toolset.com/forums/topic/allow-users-to-make-their-content-private/). The only problem is that when the user goes to /my-profile/ they cannot edit a profile if it is set to private (they can if it is public). Is there a way to allow 'members' who are logged in to still edit their profile using the /my-profile/ page if a the post is private?

Hi there,

This seems to be more of a TGoolset Access functionality that you need to set to have the Members Role have the ability to check/edit a private post.

Thanks Christopher,

I played around with the settings under Toolset > Access Control > Custom Roles > Other capabilities and seemed to come up with something that works.
