[Gelöst] Custom Post Expiry

Dieser Thread wurde gelöst. Hier ist eine Beschreibung des Problems und der Lösung.

Problem:
How to setup Automatic Post Expiry for Custom Post Type items or posts?

Solution:
You can do that using Toolset CRED, it adds an option to set Automatic Post Expiry and the status as well. Please see screenshot below and it works for all types of posts even if you are not using frontend CRED post forms.

Hi there,

I am trying to: get my events custom post to expire (be made draft) after the event date has passed.

I have an events custom post which has an event start date in it.
How can I use the event start date to:
make any custom posts draft if the event date has passed.

I'm assuming that this means that any of my views won't show these events anymore as they will no longer be published.

I've taken a look at various plugins to do this but I'd prefer to do this in Toolset and avoid installing more plugins if possible.

Thanks in advance for your support!

Guy

Hi Guy,

Thank you for contacting Toolset Support. Yes, you can do that using Toolset CRED, it adds an option to set Automatic Post Expiry and the status as well. Please see attached screenshot and it works for normal posts even if you are not using frontend CRED post forms.

Hey Noman,

Thanks for your quick response. This does seem to do the trick.

Am I correct that I don't actually need to build the form fields or notifications in cred if I'm not using them?

Do you also know what time of day Cred will check for expiring posts if it's set to twice a day?

Thanks for your support!

Hi Guy,

1. Am I correct that I don't actually need to build the form fields or notifications in cred if I'm not using them?
==> Yes, that’s totally correct.

2. Do you also know what time of day Cred will check for expiring posts if it's set to twice a day?
==> I believe it will check after every 12 hours if it's set to as Twice a day.

Have a great day,
Thank you
