Problem: When visitors see the contents listed by a View or a WordPress archive on the front-end, you might want to allow them to sort those results by different options like a custom field, and choose whether they're ascending or descending, etc.

Solution: Views now allows you to add sorting controls easily with the user interface. This means that custom code and solution provided in this ticket are outdated and not needed anymore. Read all about how to use this feature on the following documentation page.
