I am trying to: have users register to a specific custom role using cred and woocomerce.
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: lien caché
I expected to see: woocomerce checkout page
Instead, I got: a request to login in order to complete the transaction
toolset call out that the user registration will be duplicated and 2 users will be created (not ideal) hence disable user registration at woocomerce checkout. but doing so prevent the user from completing the registration process and ask the user to login in order to complete the payment...
hi Minesh,
yes, its really a nice detailed tutorial which i read many times.
it seems to be a conflict of some sort with the woocomerce subscription and cred.
cred form to add user is stating that 2 users will be created instead of one and i should disable the create account on checkout page in woo commerce. if i do that when a user register using the new user cred form and redirected to the checkout page the checkout page is asking the user to first be log in to access the checkout page.
In the WordPress administration, go to the WooCommerce -> Settings page and click the Accounts tab.
<storng> Deselect </storng> both options in the Enable Registration section and select </storng> both options in the Account Creation </storng> section.
yes, i have went through this and this is ok but the big question how all this work with Woocommerce subscription plugin for reoccurring charges. once I install that plugin the cred new user form notify that 2 users will be created and if i follow the steps in the link you provided than woocomerce checkout page is not displaying the checkout form.
so there is a confusion here...
on https://toolset.com/learn/create-membership-site-wordpress-using-toolset-plugins/ Step 2: Installing required plugins 'Woocomerce Subscription' is called out if there is a time limit on the subscription. this is my case. I have subscription that expire and renew automatically every month (that's what I'm trying to get here).
in Step 6: Charging fees for membership under 'Handling recurring payments' there is a description of two roles. how do I handle three or more roles? its not clear.
I think a crucial thing to ask is what type of product do I need to set for the subscription? a simple product or a simple subscription?
if its simple product how does toolset or woocomerce know to recharge the client at each billing cycle?
I took a look at woocomerce GitHub lien caché and it seems that woocomerce subscription force the create user at checkout which conflict with the instruction provided by toolset. if both toolset and woocomerce create the user we end up with two user accounts that belong to one user. not ideal scenario.
Hi Minesh,
I will take a look at your suggestions towards the end of the week.
please leave this SR open so I will have more time to test this.
I will keep you updated with my findings and if I need more help.
thanks,
