I am trying to find a way to show a simple link to the user profile, which is custom post type with a custom single template.

I've spent hours trying to figure this out. None of the shortcodes I've tried work. They lead to the form. I am obviously missing something.

Hi Marge,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Ok so for this you need to create a view that is listing out the user profiles. Then add a query filter to that view for the post author.

Set the filter to be the current author who is logged in. From there you can scroll to the loop editor of the view and then add the link to the profile by using the loop wizard.

I am not clear on what that means. Can you spell this out for me? Step by step?

I tried creating a link. see screen grabs below,

When I click loop wizard, this pops up: lien caché
Next I selected this: lien caché

I guess I don't understand how "then add the link to the profile" works. I tried to add current lien caché But that doesn't do anything. I guess that's not a link.

I am trying to add a link the "My Account" page that will take the user to their own Profile post.

OK, I think I got a little closer. It populated an unformatted url. I can probably use that in a linked My Profile link. Thanks for the help!
