I am trying to: set a css class to the [wpv-post-excerpt] in a layout.
Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
Page: lien caché
Layout: lien caché
I expected to see: to have my excerpt inside the p tag with the class.
Instead, I got: the excerpt is outside and my p tag is empty

Hi Eric,
Thank you for contacting our support forum.
Actually you have no except on this post so the [wpv-post-excerpt ] shortcode is returning blank.
Could you let me know where the excerpt is on this page.
Thanks,
Shane
Sorry, I meant the WooCommerce product short description. It's being showed in the layout as you can check here: lien caché

Hi Eric,
Thank you for the patience.
I managed to write a custom shortcode for this since i'm not sure why our views shortcode is functioning like this.
The shortcode is.
I've already added this to code below to the functions.php file and it should be working as intended.
// Add Shortcode
function my_excerpt() {
return get_the_excerpt();
}
add_shortcode( 'my_excerpt', 'my_excerpt' );
Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane
Hello,
It show the excerpt but when applying CSS classes, it only takes the font-family one, not the font-size.
p.book-short-desc {
font-family: 'Massif W01 Light', sans-serif !important;
font-size: 22px !important;
line-height: 28px;
}

Hi Eric,
The font is being applied and displayed correctly.
If you check the font here you can see that its the same.
lien caché
Thanks,
Shane
Hello Shane,
You can see in any book page that if you change the font-size it doesn't really change (class .book-short-desc).
You can try in this one: lien caché

Hi Eric,
I took another look at this for you and saw that there was a span wrapped around the actual text that is setting the text to a pixel size of 14.4
To overwrite this you can use this css.
p.book-short-desc span{
font-size: 22px !important;
}
Thanks,
Shane
I had to apply classes to both, with and without span, as they are random in that. There are posts that have the span and posts that hasn't... Very strange.
