form for selecting content from cpt#1 to include in posts of cpt#2

Tell us what you are trying to do?

I have a custom post type "pics" with fields 'post title' and 'featured image'. I want to create new posts in custom post type "sets" that each display the featured images of several 'pics' posts by using multiple search fields, where each search is restricted to the post titles of cpt 'pics' and, when a search is successful, the featured image of that 'pics' post is displayed. Is this even possible?
