I am trying to:
Edit the post content field of a post created using Toolset CPT using the Classic Editor
Link to a page where the issue can be seen (example): lien caché
I expected to see:
The post content field should be editable in the WordPress Admin back end.
Instead, I got:
Post content not editable.
Notes:
1) In our original ticket "Cannot edit or access the post content field from CPTs" it was discovered that the Font Awesome plugin could be conflicting. Indeed when I deactivate it, it works fine for all CPTs, HOWEVER when the FA plugin IS enabled, some CPTs work and some don't, which leads me to believe there is some setting on the CPT which is causing or at least contributing to the error.
With FA Plugin active:
Custom post types post content NOT editable: family, job-ad, nanny, nanny-ad, business-contact
Custom post types post content IS editable as normal: nn-faq, billboard, nn-blog-entry, message
2) I had reached out to the plugin author of FA several times, but I got no response until recently from them. I posted back to them today and informed them I would be (re-)opening this ticket with Toolset Support.
It would help if you could potentially isolate the problem, as to why it works for some CPTs and not for others.
Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
I checked and I can see that when you disable the FA plugin - it back to nornal and working.
With FA plugin enabled, on the settings page "Troubleshoot" tab:
- lien caché
I can see within the section "Other themes or plugins" it loads FA v5.13.0 on the page edit page. You may check with FA plugin support how to make it compatible.
In addition to that when I check the page souce of the edit page:
=> lien caché
I can see the followign font-awesome style loaded as well.
I do not have much to share here as when we deactivate FA plugin, it works as expected. Please get in touch with FA support and if they have anything to share about Toolset is causing this I'm happy to take it forward and escalate it with all the details.
