Display taxonomy terms associated with the current post

Problem: I would like to display a list of taxonomy terms associated with the current post.

Solution: Use the wpv-post-taxonomy shortcode to display a simple list of terms or term archive links, or create a View of this taxonomy filtered by term, set by the current page. This will let you loop over each term and output more customized information for each term in the list.

This is a kind of a new subject...

If I have a taxonomy called Restaurant Categories:
- Asian
- Italian
- Indian
- Mexican
- Seafood

And, Joe's Restaurant serves both Italian and Seafood, I would check both of those categories when editing the Joe's Restaurant Page.

How would I then display on the front end which categories Joe's Restaurant is associated with? Something like:

Joe's Restaurant
123 Elm Street
Joe's has really good shrimp pizza.
Categories:
- Italian
- Seafood

I can't find any documentation on displaying the taxonomies associated with a post. Is that possible?

Hi, you can use the wpv-post-taxonomy shortcode to display a simple list of terms or term archive links based on the current post:

You can find this shortcode in wp-admin by clicking Fields and Views above any WYSIWYG editor. Under the Taxonomy subheading, click "Restaurant Categories" to insert this shortcode.

If you want to include more customized content for each term, you can create a View of the Restaurant Categories taxonomy, filtered by taxonomy term, where the term is set by the current post or page. This will loop over each term and allow you to add custom HTML to the list.
