Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - there is no such feature available to build custom search view for users. You may try to find third party plugin that may help you.

Thanks Minesh,

I can create a view with users in the list but I cannot see a filter or search option so I get all the users in the
Do you know if there is a sample code that do this for a view displaying custom post types? I want to see if I can adopt it to a view with users in the list.

other alternative I see is to create a custom post when a user is created with the information from the user been pulled into the custom post. than create a view on the custom post with the filter and search options.

I try to minimize the number of plugins I use but I will search for one...
any advise, is highly appreciated.
thanks,

David

Well - if you would like to work with post author then its possible to filter view by post author (user).

More info:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/filtering-views-query-by-author/

But as you said, you are on right path, add a custom field to your post type that holds user ID or username whatever fits into your requirement and then you can add this field as a filter to your post.

ok thanks,
i got it and will try to find a creative solution for this issue.
it will be great to have this as a feature in the view plugin as users search and filters in the front end is handy for clients that dont need to access the back end much...

Thanks,

David
